A lactation consultant invoice covers assessment and support services for breastfeeding and infant feeding. International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) provide professional lactation support including initial feeding assessments, latch assessment, tube feeding support, NICU consultation, and ongoing support for complex feeding difficulties. Breastfeeding peer supporters and counsellors work at a different level, providing non-clinical support.
